Mr. Cox reports he’s not done with politics and would like to be state Corrections director and if not, he’d settle for police chief in Detroit.

Mr. Cox surprised some of his conservative pals when months ago he flip-flopped on gay marriage. He now supports it and predicts, “I think it’s going to happen.”
